Zibby Right, Freelance Writer
Zibby Right is a freelance magazine writer and author. Her first essay was published in Seventeen in 1993. Her work has since appeared in Shape, Self, Modern Bride, Elegant Bride and Quest, where she was a Contributing Editor from 2006-2009. She recently joined Observer Playground, the New York Observer's new glossy, quintessential magazine for moms; an insider's guide to everything well-heeled New York City moms want and need to know, as a "Momtributor."

Zibby graduated cum laude from Yale University in 1998 with a B.A. in Psychology. At Yale, she was co-Editor-in-Chief of The Insider's Guide to the Colleges 1999, an entirely student-written college guidebook published by St. Martin's Press. She wrote for the Yale Herald.

After a three-year marketing career, Zibby attended Harvard Business School from which she received her MBA in 2003. She served as Features and Viewpoints Editor of the Harbus weekly newspaper, where she was a Featured Columnist. She also co-authored a note entitled, "Work and Job Search Related Stress," published by Harvard Business School Publishing.

Zibby wrote her first novel, Off Balance, a coming-of-age story about a young woman who loses her best friend on 9/11, in 2004. She co-authored a non-fiction, fashion/fitness book, Your Perfect Fit, with Paige Adams-Geller, founder of Paige Premium Denim, and Ashley Borden, a celebrity trainer. It was published by McGraw-Hill in January 2008. Since then she has edited a book on paperie for author Karen Bartolomei and self-published a memoir, Little Morsels: What I Wish I'd Known Before Having Twins, as a gift for her oldest friend.

A former Weight Watchers Leader, Zibby has counseled groups and private clients on how to achieve and maintain weight loss.

Zibby is an active member of the community. She serves on the board of the Mount Sinai Hospital Children's Center Foundation, the Young Lions of the New York Public Library and co-chairs the Junior Council of the American Museum of Natural History. She is actively involved with the Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE) in Bridgehampton, New York. She also helps with fundraising for the Brearley School, the Trinity School, Yale University and Harvard Business School.

Zibby lives with her husband and twins in Manhattan, where she was born and raised.
